✦ Day Twelve: Celebration, Day Twelve: Taken.
Serah finally gets a memory that connects with another one! That only took seven memories to happen . . .
Anyway, for some background, Serah puts together a nice dinner for Lightning's birthday. She is really worried and anxious about the news she has for Lightning, her engagement and, more importantly, the fact that she is a l'Cie. With some help from Snow, she lets the cats out of the bag, and it goes over as well as you can see. After that fiasco, Snow decides that asking the fal'Cie itself to explain her focus is a great idea. At this point, everyone has realized there is a Pulse fal'Cie in the neighborhood which makes this an even more dangerous course of action. Of course, it goes over as well as the birthday party with Lightning, and Serah ends up abducted by the fal'Cie Anima.
. . . Yep, worst birthday ever.
- Serah gets to see how bad the splinter between her and Lightning is. It explains why Serah was scared of Lightning as badly as she was in another memory . . .
- On the other hand, Snow does his best to help her out. It doesn't go over well in both cases, but she truly appreciates having someone at her back. She wouldn't be able to do half of what she does without someone to help her, natch.
- Some background knowledge shows up too, like knowing what foods Lightning likes and having a tendency to run from situations . . . You know, positive and useful habits.
Small vial of water with a silver ribbon.
